Adding & Creating New Pages

Select the New Page Folder from Left Navigation

From the Left Navigation, below each folder, there is a + Add New Page link. (You will need to expand any folder to see it). Decide which folder you want your new page to be located, and click on that +Add New Page link.

Select the New Page Layout

You will be presented with the following pop-up window. You have the option to create a page based on Page template Snippets which are either supplied as part of the Site Pack you have loaded or your own Created page templates.   Please see the Snippets Editor,  where you can create and save frequently used page layouts and html snippets.

1. 1. Main-LeftNav
   Provides a left navigation with dummy content. Perfect for Technical Documentation or 2nd level navigation.

2. 2. WebPart
   This is used for adding webparts in other pages. You are able to create one version that can be used on multiple pages

3. 3. Blank Page
   Provides a blank canvas to add your own content, with no Layout attached. This is useful for creating webparts to be reused.

4. 4. Main
   Provides a full width page with dummy content.

Select the Layout

Select one of the templates and click the + Create Page button as shown below.

Once you have clicked on + Create page, the new page will be created as shown below. (For the following example, you will notice the Main-LeftNav was chosen).

Completing the New Page details

Before you save the page, the following information needs to be added.

1. 1. Page-Url
   This is mandatory and needs to be provided. Ensure you adhere to SEO policies. For example, an 'about us' page could be 'about-us'. The text box to the left of this, will be used to concatenate for the url path. The above could be companyname.webcore.ws/page-management/about-us.

2. 2. Page Title
   This needs to be a user friendly page title for your new page. For example, from point 1, you could use 'About Us' as the title.

3. 3. Sub Title
   This is the title that will appear under your main title. It could the section name. For example 'Company Name Portal'.
