Edit Page Data Tag

There are three different options for editting your Data Tags. We will provide the instructions for each option, and you can decide what works for you.

 
webcore CMX provides the following three options:
 
  1. 1. Page Editor

    This process is similar to adding your Page Data Tag.

  2. 2. Data Fragment Tab

    This process is carried out in the Page Editor's Data Fragment Tab.

    3. Data Fragment Window

    This process is managed through the dedicated Data Fragment page, which serves as the central hub for all your Data Fragments across the portal.

 

1. Page Editor

These are the instructions for updating your Page Data Tags within the Page Editor.

Show All Data Tags

Through the Page Editor section, in order to update your Data Tag Element, it is good practice to show all Data Tags on the page. To do this, you need to click on the Show/Hide Data Tags button.

Now you will see all the Data Tag Elements on the page.

  
Select the Data Tag Element

Through the Page Editor section, locate the Data Tag Element you want to update. Right-Click on the element and select Add/Edit Data Tag.

Edit the Element Content

To the right side of the Page Editor , this window will appear.

  1. 1. Element Tag
    A unique Data Tag ID will be created. This will be added to the html in the following format. wc-data-id="db-1030"

  2. 2. Element Content
    This is the translated content for this Data Tag which will be assigned to this Element Tag and the language. 

Once you have edited the Element Content, click SAVE .

You need to PUBLISH the page for that specific language. If you need to edit a translation for another language, you need to follow the same process, but make sure you select the language first.
