Add Page Data Tag

The purpose of a Data Tag is to manage translations for content within your pages, ensuring consistency across all translations.

Highlight and tag elements of your page with Tags and generate a Data Fragment table which can them be used to translate and target the page to languages.

By assigning a Data Tag to a piece of content, you give it a unique Data Tag ID, enabling efficient management of translations for that specific content.

 
webcore CMX offers two key features:

  1. 1. Show/Hide All Data Tags

    This feature allows you to toggle the visibility of all Data Tags on the page. By viewing all tags, you can better assess and plan for your translation or content management needs.

  2. 2. Add/Edit Data Tag

    This feature enables you to create and modify Data Tags within any part of the content. You can easily tag specific sections, such as titles, sentences, or paragraphs, ensuring accurate content identification and management.

 
Highlight and Select the Text

Through the Page Editor section, highlight the text you want to create a Data Tag for. Right-Click on the highlighted text and select Add/Edit Data Tag.

  
Add the Element Tag and Content

To the right side of the Page Editor , this window will appear.

  1. 1. Element Tag
    A unique Data Tag ID will be created. This will be added to the html in the following format. wc-data-id="db-1030"

  2. 2. Element Content
    This is the translated content for this Data Tag which will be assigned to this Element Tag and the language. 

Once you have added the Element Content, click SAVE .

You need to PUBLISH the page for that specific language. If you need to add a translation for another language, you need to follow the same process, but make sure you select the langauage first.
